600g Chopped Strand Matting (2oz)

600g (2oz) Chopped Strand Matting made from chopped strands of e-glass bound with an emulsion binder soluble in styrene. This makes it perfectly suitable with Polyester Resins in Boat Building and Fibreglass Flat Roofing.

This is a general purpose emulsion bound chopped strand mat designed to cover a wide range of applications by normal hand lay-up techniques. The mat is soft and can conform well to less complicated mould shapes.

This high quality mat is suitable for use with most types of unsaturated polyester resins. Resin penetration (wet through, or working time) is rapid with a fast strand wet out time.

Chopped Strand Matting is often used in the Boat Building and Fibreglass Flat Roofing Industries and the Manufacture of Fibreglass Moulds for Part Making. Used in conjunction with Polyester Resins this material also has Multiple Repair Applications.

When used in Roofing Applications 1 layer of 600g CSM will allow foot traffic after installation. Widely used to form Balconies or Walkways and areas where you may want to clean areas of the structure or house from the flat roof.

A Full Roll of 600g will have 55sqm of Matting.

Each Full Roll weighs approximately 33kg and comes boxed and plastic wrapped.
